Kevin is a lifelong advocate for the people of Los Angeles, having grown up in Compton and attended schools in the area. His passion for public service led him to run for Carson City Council in 2003, and he has been actively engaged in the community ever since. Currently, Kevin is a dedicated Associate Pastor of the New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, where he serves his congregation with distinction. Kevin and his wife, Pamela, have been married for 33 years and have two sons - Evan and Ethan Anderson.
In addition to his work in the church, Rev. Kevin Anderson has been a staunch advocate for the communities he serves. He worked with the late Honorable Congress member Juanita Millender-McDonald in the 37th congressional district, fighting for fair housing opportunities, small business loans, and support for new and start-up companies.
Kevin's professional achievements include serving as a Trial Instructor for the City of Los Angeles' City Attorney's Office, where he trains new Deputy City Attorneys in the art of opening and closing arguments. He is also a former Vice President of the Association of Black City Attorneys and currently conducts Domestic Violence Training for the Lakers, Clippers, and Sparks.
